Bringing Opportunity for Recovery to Addicts in Connecticut

Martine Jehan

Betsy Jehan

Addictions Recovery Resources was the brainchild of Betsy Jehan, Guilford CT, who wanted a legacy for her daughter Martine who died at age 26 of a drug overdose after battling her addiction tirelessly for eight years.  A year after her daughter passed, Betsy and her friend Herb Swartz created Martine's Wake Up, a fundraiser in Guilford to benefit addicts in need of financial support for sober living and to raise consciousness of the opioid crisis

Since then, Addiction Recovery Resources has raised thousands of dollars and helped hundreds of addicts find safe lodging where they can recover from their addictions and pull together the pieces of their lives

Last year Shatterproof brought an exhibit of seventy-five portraits to Martine's Wake Up of young people in Connecticut who had died of drug  overdoses

Entertainment at the fundraisers is provided by Bob Cosman and his Drive By Blues Band.

Speakers included Representative Sean Scanlon, long a supporter of Martine's Wake Up and a long time supported of state legislation addressing the state's opoiod crisis.

In 2018, the Board of Directors of ARRCorp elected to cease the Martine's Wake Up picnic and use all collected funds for our mission, helping the still suffering addict.  Today, we depend 100% on the generous contributions of individuals, businesses and institutions for our funding.  The ARRCorp is a 50C3 non-profit organization, so contributions are tax deductible.  Please help us today with a contribution.  Click on the PayPal button below and you will be taken to our PayPal where you can contribute with you PayPal account or any credit card.
